It is all about making a difference

The Mailbobo project, aimed primarily for the preservation of our luscious tropical forest, is also dedicated in developing this nature park as an ecotourist site. This will not only allow us to share the beauty of our place and unique culture with the rest of the world, but will also help us eradicate poverty of our local community, and bring about community development.

Our Journey So Far

1997

Inception of the project

Initiated by mostly secondary school drop-outs and unemployed youths, this project creates a safe haven from their past drug addicted and armed robberies lifestyle.

2001

Official registration with the authority

MWCNP was officially registered with Papua New Guinea Investment Prommotion Authority (PNGIPA) by a group of 200 like-minded youths (men and women)
